
Astromist lets you create your own location list.
you can reuse the default list (459 are provided) and remove all the unnecessary locations and/or add the line for your owns that are missing.
The format is simple:
Country   : 20 characters.
Code      :  4 characters, Astromist the ISO 2 characters code.
Town      : 23 characters.
Longitude : 11 characters, in fraction of degrees. For 12030W put -120.5. For 120.30E put 120.5
Latitude  : 11 characters, in fraction of degrees. For 4030N put 40.5. For 40.30S put -40.5
Time Zone :  6 characters, in fraction of hours

Exemple:

The excel spreadsheet will help you to create your file using the correct format.
Please do not modify the formula of the first column to avoid trouble

To create a new location database follow this procedure:
- copy the default excel file to an other one with a new name (my_location.xls for exemple)
- Edit the file if you want to remove some lines or add new ones,
- open location_list.txt using notepad and paste the lines of the first column into it (without the first line :-))
- save the new text file
- Open a Dos session and change directory to the one of the program,
- Run LocationDB.exe to create the new database,
astromist_location.pdb file is created in the same folder.

You have just to install the new database on your pda (memory card or hotsync).

Remark:	For the moment, there is no Macintosh or Linux program available and
users must add manually update the informations you would like to follow.
